HOW IT WORKS
The Vigil Cuatro performs a complete self-test to check all internal parameters and calibrates itself to the units corresponding atmospheric pressure at its current altitude.
When the MODE of choice (Pro, Student, Tandem or Xtreme) appears on the LCD, your Vigil is now active and ready for use. While in “Stand-By” status it re-calibrates itself every 32 seconds.
During take-off, your Vigil will move to “Active” status and will begin measuring air pressure 8 times per second.
ACCURATE CALCULATION
Our Vigil monitors the speed variation during your freefall and recalculates every 1/8th of a second.
When the activation altitude is reached, your Vigil will determine if you are still falling above the preset value, and if so will instantaneously activate the cutter.
This patented method ensures an extremely accurate activation altitude of +/- 60 feet.
WATERPROOF
The Vigil 2 has been designed to resist a water immersion of 0.5 meters for a maximum of 30 minutes (IP 67).
Vigil 2+ and Vigil Cuatro are waterproof (IP68) and can stand water immersion to a maximum of 1.8 meters for 24 hours.
Built-in stainless steel air filter which does not need to be replaced after contact with water.
