Style is an individual speed exercise where it’s a matter of achieving a series of movements.
(Turn – turn – back loop – turn – turn – back loop) as fast as possible.
The direction of turns are alternates: turn left – turn right or the other way around.
This provides 4 possible jumps which are called the groups.
The style jumper leaves the plane at 2200 meters and takes a position in order to be as effective as possible. Style is to be accomplished in a poised position, keeping arms and legs close to the body, in order to turn as fast as possible. The judges time the performance and occasionally add some penalties when degrees of turn in horizontal position are not correct.
